About the Program

The Rutland Free Library invites kids of all ages to join the = Summer=20 Reading Club which runs from June through August. Reading during the = summer is=20 lots of fun and helps keep skills sharp. =20 There are no fees associated with this program.

How does it work?

=B7 Membership is easy. Visit the library and request the colorful = membership packet. You can record your name on a star, which will be = hung on=20 display in the library=92s =93Readers=92 Sky.=94

=B7 Record the books you read during the summer on the sheet in = the packet.=20

=B7 Bring your reading record in throughout the summer and receive = stickers,=20 an ice cream coupon, and a free book.

=B7 Each time you check out books, you may enter your name in the=20 end-of-summer raffle for fun prizes.

=B7 Visit the library for craft programs, performances and events. = Check the=20 calendar at RutlandFree.org=20 for=20 event details.

Children of all ages may participate because the reader=92s = record can be=20 used for children who are reading independently or being read to.

Start by registering for a library patron card, if you don=92t = already=20 have one, which is free to Rutland Town residents.
