Special Meeting  - = Fact Finding=20

Thursday, January 21,=20 2010

 

 

OPEN:  Fact Finder, = Bonnie=20 Mcspiritt opened the meeting at 1:12 pm

 

PRESENT:  In attendance = were RT=20 Board members; Marc Brierre, Stacy Chapman, Lyn Gallipo, Jim Levins , = Board=20 attorney John Faignant , Superintendent Wendy Savery and Principal = Pati=20 Beaumont.  Also in attendance were VT =96 NEA representative, = Sean Leach=20 and negotiations committee; Randy Dewey, Jodi Manning, Karen Pezetti, = Marcia=20 Barron, Susan Audette and Michael Rowe.

 

 

Fact=20 Finding: 

Both=20 sides agreed that there were six outstanding issues:

  1. Salary  (Brd =96 = 0% increase=20 / RTEA  - 4% on base 1st yr =3D $115,481 total new=20 money.=20
  2. Athletic Director = position =20 (add position to 3.1 in contract)=20
  3. Agency Fee  = (Allows Union=20 to collect fee from non union members)=20
  4. Conference & = Workshops=20 (change option 3 =96$1,000 for conferences and workshops = up=20

  1. Retirement & = Severance =20 change:  (7.1) $25 to $40 up to 120 days

           =             &= nbsp;           &n= bsp;           &nb= sp;          =20 (7.2) $30 to $45 up to 120 days

           =             &= nbsp;           &n= bsp;           =20 (7.3)$30,000 & 20% co pay to 50% of last year=92s = salary

  1. Duration of = contract=20

 

The=20 current contract expired on June 30, 2009.  Preliminary = negotiations=20 began on December 2008 reaching an impasse and Mediation in August=20 2009.

 

All=20 issues were discussed and evidence submitted to MS. = Mcspiritt.

 

Decision should be in = the mail by=20 the end of February 2010.

 

The=20 meeting was declared over at 4:10 pm
