DESCRIPTION:HOW SHOULD WE SPEND THE ARPA MONEY?\nFederal ARPA money will soon be flowing into Rutland Town–at least $400\,000 over the next several months. And that’s just the first round….\nWe want to hear from you about how to spend this money to help our community recover from the COVID-91 pandemic.\nAs with any federal program\, there are restrictions. We can use the money for public health\, COVID-19 mitigation and protection\, premium pay for eligible essential workers\, necessary water\, sewer and broadband projects\, recapture of lost revenues\, and much more. ARPA fund recipients can include households\, small businesses\, nonprofits and your local government. We CAN’T use the money for federal matches\, pensions\, to pay outstanding debt\, or infrastructure other than water\, sewer and broadband.\nFor more information\, please visit the Vermont League of Cities and Towns website at https://www.vlct.org/res…/american-rescue-plan-information\nThe Select Board will hold listening sessions on Tuesday\, June 29th at 6PM and on Tuesday\, July 20th at 5PM.
