Meeting open at 7:00 PM

Commissioners Present:

Raymond Leonard, Howard Burgess, William Matteson and Tony Flory

The Commissioners reviewed the minutes of 5-29-14. Mr. Leonard moved to approve the 5-29-14 as corrected. Mr. Flory made a second to the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Rutland Regional Planner Mr. Ed Bove and the Commissioners worked updating and editing the 2009 Town Plan.

The following section were reviewed:

• Public Facilities and Utilities:

• To add rail crossings at Depot Lane, Route 3, Cold River Road and US Route 4

• Mr. Zingale to check on current City water rate to Town users

• To add language for aquifer protection

• Added language regarding the soon to be constructed Center Rutland Water and Sewer project

• To add language regarding emergency planning

• To rewrite recreation section, no longer commission. Now have a Recreation Director

• To write language regarding acquiring more parking space near Dewey Field

• To add language regarding recreation opportunities with Spartan Arena

• To make changes to language regarding the Public Service Board and the State Environmental Board.

• To prepare language regarding the proposed gas line and the buried DC cable

• Made changes to the Energy Conservation section.

Mr. Leonard moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:40 P.M. Mr. Burgess made a second to the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
