RUTLAND TOWN SELECTBOARD COMMITTEE MEETING

TOWN WIDE CELEBRATION COMMITTEE

TUESDAY MAY 31^st, 2022

The Town Wide Celebration Committee of the Rutland Town Selectboard met at 2:00PM on Wednesday June 1^st, 2022, at the end of Cheney Hill Lane. Present was Selectboard Member Mary Ashcroft and Administrative Assistant Bill Sweet.

The committee met to discuss the planned Town Wide Celebration for August 27^th.

• Reviewed a draft of the event flyer. Changes were made to reflect the event s for the day.
• There are some organizations which still need to be contacted, the list was divided up.
• The Town Fire and Police Department, a DJ, and a bounce house for the day have been confirmed.
• We hope to be able to have the highway garage open for residents to be able to see as well.
• A solution for hayrides still needs to be found.
• Discussed having door prizes, or a raffle for pool passes. A pool pass raffle would be the easiest to do. Pool passes for prizes were discussed for the speed cart race challenge.
• Copies of the flyer will be made as soon as possible in order to get them to the school so they can go home with the students before the end of the school year.

The meeting adjourned at 2:22 PM.
