The Solid Waste / Recycling Station is open to all Rutland Town residents. No commercial users are allowed to use the site. Free Recycling is available.

Environmental Producer Responsibility (EPR) Disposal Information : The Rutland County Solid Waste District located on Gleason Road in Rutland accepts batteries, paint, electronic waste, and fluorescent bulbs from any Vermont resident during their regular operating hours.

Florescent light bulbs and used paint cans are also accepted at most building supply stores for recycling. Please contact your local building supply store for more information.
Used Oil
The Rutland Town Transfer and Recycling Center accepts used oil as it helps operations at the new Town Garage. Alternatively, you can bring it to these Used Oil Collection Locations.
