Planning Commission Minutes 8-21-2025

TOWN OF RUTLAND PLANNING COMMISSION

MEETING MINUTES

DATE: August 21^st, 2025

LOCATION: Town Hall and a publicly accessible conference line

OPEN MEETING 6:30 P.M.

Commission Members Present: Dana Peterson, Howard Burgess, Andy McKane, Jerry Stearns, and Demetrio Gagnon. All members are voting members for this meeting.

Members of the Public Present:  None

Approval of the Agenda:

Mr. McKane moved to approve the agenda. Mr. Stearns seconded the motion. There is not a quorum of members present to be able to approve the minutes listed on the agenda. Mr. McKane moved to amend the agenda to remove approving the minutes. Mr. Burgess seconded the motion. Both motions carried unanimously.

New Business: Boundary Line Adjustment Request for Baird/Levins on McKinley Avenue

1. None of the applicants were present.
2. The topic will be moved to the next meeting.

Old Business: Subdivision Bylaw – Ferrisburgh regulations, initial review

1. An excerpt of the regulations, regarding subdivisions, from the Town of Ferrisburgh was provided for the group for consideration toward the work this group has been doing.
2. Discussed how these could apply. They would not be able to be used directly.
3. Discussed using a consultant to help draft new regulations, which was supported by the Selectboard. The Planning Commission supports this as well.
4. No action was taken; this topic will be discussed at a future meeting.

Announcements

Town Wide Celebration is this Saturday. Some additional help from members is needed to staff the booth.

Adjournment:

Mr. McKane moved to adjourn. Mr. Stearns seconded the motion. The motion carried and the meting adjourned at 7:40PM.
