The new bathroom doors are on at Dewey Field.

Discussed the draft budget proposed.

  • The income lines were reviewed. There will be an increase in the cost of non-resident rates for the coming year. The income projection was increased some to account for this.
  • The total projected income is $35,400.
  • Rec Director compensation and benefit calculations will be set once the Board decides on a cost-of-living increase for the year.
  • Maintenance labor and lifeguard lines were discussed. An aquatics director position is proposed. A new person for Dewey maintenance has been found. The maintenance labor line was decreased to the amount needed only for maintenance. A name change in the lifeguard line to add pool staff will be made, and funds will be moved from maintenance to this line to cover the new position.
  • Other lines were reviewed with some minor changes. Supplies lines and plumbing lines were changed to eliminate redundancies.
  • Social activities was increased to reflect the funds for the seniors moving from the general budget to the rec.
  • Discussed the reason a budget may have shifts that causes a surplus to be large, or small. The fiscal cycle has a lot to do with it, and when bills are received and paid, and payroll cycles.
