NOTICE OF HEARING AND SITE VISIT REGARDING PROPOSED RECLASSIFICATION OF QUARTERLINE ROAD (TH-24)

To: Property Owners Abutting or Interested in Quarterline Road (TH-24)
Dear Property Owner:
Pursuant to 19 V.S.A. §§ 708 and 709, the Rutland Town Selectboard hereby gives notice that it is considering the reclassification of all remaining Class 4 portions of Quarterline Road (TH-24) to Class 3 Town Highway status.
The proposed action would result in the entirety of Quarterline Road (TH-24) being classified as a Class 3 Town Highway.
The Selectboard will conduct a site visit and public hearing as follows:

Date: Tuesday, October 20th, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Quarterline Road (TH-24), Rutland Town, Vermont
Public Hearing:
Date: Tuesday, October 20th, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Rutland Town Municipal Town Hall
At the hearing, the Selectboard will receive testimony and evidence from interested persons regarding the proposed reclassification. Any person owning land through which the highway passes, whose land abuts the highway, or who otherwise has an interest in the matter may appear and be heard.
Following the site visit and hearing, the Selectboard will deliberate and issue findings and a decision in accordance with Vermont law.
