Select Board Public Listening Sessions – ARPA Funded Projects
HOW SHOULD WE SPEND THE ARPA MONEY?
Federal ARPA money will soon be flowing into Rutland Town–at least $400,000 over the next several months. And that’s just the first round….
We want to hear from you about how to spend this money to help our community recover from the COVID-91 pandemic.
As with any federal program, there are restrictions. We can use the money for public health, COVID-19 mitigation and protection, premium pay for eligible essential workers, necessary water, sewer and broadband projects, recapture of lost revenues, and much more. ARPA fund recipients can include households, small businesses, nonprofits and your local government. We CAN’T use the money for federal matches, pensions, to pay outstanding debt, or infrastructure other than water, sewer and broadband.

The Select Board will hold listening sessions on Tuesday, June 29th at 6PM and on Tuesday, July 20th at 5PM. Both meetings will be at Rutland Town Hall for those who have been fully vaccinated, or via zoom at this link https://zoom.us/j/93915188696…
Come talk to us. Bring your best, most creative and inclusive ideas for use of our town’s share of the American Recovery Plan Act money.
