RUTLAND TOWN SELECT BOARD COMMITTEE MEETING

HIGHWAY COMMITTEE

FRIDAY MAY 5^th, 2023

The Highway Committee of the Rutland Town Select Board met at 9:00 AM on Friday May 5^th, 2023, at the Municipal Town Hall. Present was Select Board Clerk Joe Denardo and Road Commissioner Dave Sears.

1. The committee discussed a concern brought to the Board about Simons Avenue.
   1. There are concerns about people speeding on the road.
   2. Discussed ways it could be handled.
   3. Changing the configuration of the western intersection with Business Route 4 could help.
   4. A meeting with VTrans to discuss it will be planned.
2. Discussed the service road project, connecting Randbury Road to the road for Harbor Freight and Aldis.
   1. The contractor who worked on the project for us, VHB, will be contacted to discuss where they finished and what needs to be done to have plans which could be used for construction.
3. The committee entered executive session at 9:30 AM to discuss a personnel matter. The committee came out of executive session at 10:05 AM with no action to take.

The meeting adjourned at 10:05 AM.
