Patrol Officer (Full Time Position), Town of Rutland

The Town of Rutland, Vermont is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer.

Job Description

A Patrol Officer has the responsibility and duty to safeguard life and property through legal and ethical enforcement of State / Federal law and Town Ordinances, to respond to and take action in emergency situations, to competently investigate crimes and pursue offenders, to diligently maintain order and to address quality of life issues with respect for all persons.

Recruiting period opens starting at 8:00am on February 8th, 2021 and closes at 5:00pm on March 5th, 2021. Applications post marked prior to the March 5th, 2021 deadline will be honored; applications received after the March 5th, 2021 deadline will not be accepted.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 20 Years Old
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have no felony convictions

Salary

Entry level position’s start at $22.00 an hour.
