RUTLAND TOWN SELECT BOARD COMMITTEE MEETING

PERSONNEL COMMITTEE

MONDAY JANUARY 29^th, 2024

The Personnel Committee of the Rutland Town Select Board met at 11:00 AM on Monday January 29^th, 2024, at the Municipal Town Hall. Present was Select Board Chair Mary Ashcroft, Select Board Member Matt Getty, Teresa Miele of HR Acquired, and Town Administrator Bill Sweet

The Select Board has hired Teresa to consult on changes to our existing personnel policy.

1. Discussed the updates being made to the new policy being in alignment with Fair Labor Standards.
2. There are some questions which need to be answered, with input from the Town Attorney.
3. Several topics have been enhanced with input from VLCT.
4. Reviewed the template of the proposed consistent time sheet.
5. Reviewed the list of paid holidays and how they may apply to hired / elected staff going forward. Discussed how to word the number of hours employees will get paid.
6. Reviewed details to add comp time to the policy and impacts it can have.
7. The next meeting will be planned for February 12^th at 11AM.

The meeting adjourned at 12:30 PM.
