TOWN OF RUTLAND PLANNING COMMISSION

MEETING MINUTES

 DATE: May 30^th, 2024

LOCATION: Town Hall and a publicly accessible conference line

OPEN MEETING 6:00 P.M.

Commission Members Present: Chair Barbara Pulling, Dana Peterson, Howard Burgess, Sherman Hunter, Jerry Stearns, Mary Beth Poli, Andy McKane,Norm Cohen and Jim Hall. All members are voting members for this meeting.

Members of the Public Present:  None

Approval of the Agenda:

Mr. Peterson moved to approve the agenda. Mr. Stearns seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

New Business: Cortina Inn housing voucher update

1. Members from the State Agency of Human Services attended the recent Select Board meeting and answered many questions about the current and future state of the homeless housing program.
2. Discussed comments made by Board members, State Agency representatives and the facility owner.

New Business: Municipal Planning grant application

1. The Board gave approval for the Commission to go ahead with applying for the grant.

Old Business: 213 River Corrido update

1. The legislation has been passed but has not been signed into law yet.
2. This will be discussed at a future meeting.

Old Business: Final review of updated subdivision forms.

1. Reviewed the latest draft of the forms.
2. Discussed some of the language and what it requires.
3. Clarification on some items is still needed.

Approval of Minutes May 9^th, 2024:

Mr. Peterson moved to approve the minutes. Mr. McKane seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Stearns and Mr. Cohen abstained.

Adjournment:

Mr. Hunter moved to adjourn. Mr. Stearns seconded the motion.

The meeting adjourned at 6:44
