RUTLAND TOWN SELECT BOARD COMMITTEE MEETING
POLICE COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 4th, 2024
The Police Committee of the Rutland Town Select Board met at 3:00 PM on Wednesday September 4th, 2024, at the Municipal Town Hall. Present was Select Board Chair Mary Ashcroft, Select Board Member Matt Getty and Deputy Chief Ted Washburn.
The Committee is meeting to discuss a personnel matter, and a possible hire.
Selectman Getty moved to enter executive session, with Deputy Chief Washburn participating. Board Chair Ashcroft seconded the motion. The committee entered executive session at 3:04PM.
The committee came out of executive session with no action being taken.
Discussed a request by the Police Department for a new fingerprinting machine, and necessary software, for the new Public Safety Building. The cost is $19,000 for the technology. There is an annual maintenance cost of $3000. Discussed a source of funds. There are a lot of demands on Town funds right now. The exact available balance of the capital funds was not available for this meeting.
This will be discussed as part of a larger committee meeting next week.
The meeting adjourned at 4:01PM.
