Work on North Grove Street RFP

Town  of Rutland Request for Proposal

The Town of Rutland is requesting proposals from qualified engineering companies to provide cost estimates for the surveying and engineering of street line of sight issues located at 1911 North Grove Street in the Town of Rutland.

The Objective

• There is a “roll” in street at 1911 N. Grove St. that blocks the Line of Sight from the south driveway of the business. Because of the Line of Sight issue, several near miss accidents have been reported to the Town.
• The Town would like to remove the “roll” in the street to make Line of Sight safer for the employees of the business and the traveling public.
• The Town is therefore requesting cost estimates to survey and engineer a project to remove the necessary materials to lower the elevation of the road surface to accommodate a safer roadway for all motorists.

Proposals need to be submitted on or before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 4, 2023.

All submissions will be opened at a Highway Committee meeting at 12:00 p.m.  on Thursday October 5, 2023.

The results of the submissions will be read at the Regular Select Board meeting on Tuesday October 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

Submissions shall be clearly marked “Grove Street RFP”.
