RUTLAND TOWN SELECT BOARD COMMITTEE MEETING

TOWN WIDE CELEBRATION COMMITTEE

FRIDAY MAY 19^TH, 2023

The Town Wide Celebration Committee of the Rutland Town Select Board met at 9:00 AM on Friday May 19^th, 2023, at the Municipal Town Hall. Present was Select Board Chair Mary Ashcroft, Select Board Member Sharon Russell, Select Board Member Matt Getty, and Town Administrator Bill Sweet.

1. Reviewed plans for the August 19^th Town Wide Celebration.
   1. The committee discussed what worked well last year, and what the goals and events for this year would be.
   2. The list of vendors, contributors and organizations which should be contacted for their role in the event was reviewed. We have received confirmation from a few already.
   3. Each of the committee members is responsible for reaching out to a portion of the list.
   4. Discussed food options for this year. There was good feedback on the changes made for 2022. Some other requests were made, but they would come at a cost which may not be able to be covered in the current budget.
   5. The 8^th grade class would like to participate in the event, and asked if they could use it as a fund raiser for their class trip. Some options were discussed. This will be brought up with the full Board.

 

The meeting adjourned at 10:00 AM.
