RUTLAND TOWN SELECT BOARD COMMITTEE MEETING

TOWN WIDE CELEBRATION COMMITTEE

FRIDAY AUGUST 4^th, 2023

The Town Wide Celebration Committee of the Rutland Town Select Board met at 12:00 PM on Friday August 4^th, 2023, at the Municipal Town Hall. Present was Select Board Chair Mary Ashcroft, Select Board Member Kurt Hathaway, Town Rec Director Mike Rowe and Town Administrator Bill Sweet.

1. Reviewed plans for the August 19^th Town Wide Celebration.
   1. Mike is picking up the food order from Kamudas and propane from Proctor Gas on Friday the 18^th.
   2. The vendor we got the ice from last year has not followed up with us yet.
   3. The are several more vendors this year. We will bring tables from Town Hall so there will be enough.
   4. All Town departments will be present.
   5. Fireworks will be later in the evening. Discussed allowing for swimming during the fireworks. Due to safety concerns, this will not be done this year.
   6. All aspects of the park will be open all day for anyone to use.
   7. A dedication of the new stone carved bench is planned for 12PM.
   8. The event was advertised with flyers in various locations, a banner at the park, and social media postings.

The meeting adjourned at 12:53 PM.
