Equipment grant receipt

In December of 2020 the Rutland Town Police Department was awarded a $5,000.00 equipment grant from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association to assist in the start of the Town’s K9 Program. Rutland Town Police also started fundraising efforts with the Vermont K9 Association.

Thanks to the grant provided by the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association, and fundraising efforts by the Vermont K9 Association, we were able to purchase a K9 cruiser insert and a Vault System from American Aluminum. The Remaining money from the grant is being utilized to work with a K9 Breeder in Vermont to acquire the K9.

The Rutland Town Police Department would like to extend our thanks to these two organizations for their help. Without their funding, we would not have been able to purchase the K9 Insert or Vault system which are necessary for a K9 Unit
