Status: CLOSED Electrical work at our Town Hall / REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Town of Rutland is requesting pricing for multiple projects at our Municipal Town Hall.
Please provide us with your cost and time estimate for the projects below.
- Replace existing main electrical distribution panel. The ideal scenario would be to eliminate the existing main and all sub-panels, consolidating them into 1 main panel. New panel should allow for additional circuits to be added in the future.

- Addition of 2 x 80w – 100w wall pack lights on the NE corners of the building and 2 x 80w – 100w wall pack lights on the West side of the building to be tied into existing timer circuit. Efficiency VT Lighting program preferred. Wall pack lights shall be installed as to not interfere with drivers on Business 4.

- Replace light fixture over downstairs backdoor with appropriate flood light fixture.

- Upgrade / add lighting for the back staircase, tied into existing switch. Efficiency VT Lighting program preferred.

- Install new network cables in attic for POE compatible surveillance cameras. Cat 5 surface mount boxes to be installed inside the attic near where cables exit the building for each connection. Cables to be run along rafters/roof line to new surface mount boxes to be installed near where cables enter existing ceiling penetration to connect to DVR. Jumpers to be created to connect to DVR. All boxes / leads to be labeled at each connection point. Existing network cables and low voltage lines to be extended/replaced to allow running along rafters/roofline instead of across floor.

Our goal is to have all projects completed in a timely fashion. The Selectboard may elect to award individual projects based on time/cost estimates provided. Please indicate it you are willing to complete individual projects if they are awarded to your firm. Please include any additional information relevant to each project. Projects must be completed, with invoices submitted on or before June 10th, 2022. Please mail or hand-deliver your quote to our Town Hall located at 181 Business Route 4 Center Rutland, VT 05736 by March 23rd, for review by the Selectboard at the March 29th meeting. The Town of Rutland Selectboard reserves the right to reject any or all bids/quotes in part or whole.
